Also, this painting was painted on canvas during the days when he lived in the mental asylum of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France.
Many artists and people who see this painting believe that he had a great interest in astronomy and was able to accurately map the positions of the moon and stars using the Griffith Park Observatory.

The painting Sunflowers was purchased by a Japanese investor in 1987 for 40 million dollars and was recognized as the most expensive painting in the world at that time; but then, two years later, Van Gogh's painting Irises broke this record!

Irises
The third painting on the list of Van Gogh's paintings is Irises, which was drawn in 1889. Vincent van Gogh died in 1900 and believed that his painting talent could be a point full of hope in the face of the illnesses he had. Also, in addition to Irises, this painting is also known as a lightning rod for my illness, the reason for this name can be attributed to the perspective he gained in the asylum.
As we mentioned above, the painting Irises broke the price record of Sunflowers and was sold in 1987 for about 54 million dollars.
Portrait of Dr. Gachet
Dr. Paul Ferdinand Gachet was a person who intended to help Van Gogh during his illness. The image that Van Gogh depicted of this doctor in the last days of his life is considered one of his prominent works today. Also, the painting and Portrait of Dr. Gachet was designed in 1890, and then, 100 years later, in 1990, it was sold for 82.5 million dollars and was able to break the record for the most expensive paintings in the world.

The painting Wheatfield with Crows is one of the most famous works of this Dutch painter; this work was designed in 1890 with oil paint in dimensions of 50.2 cm * 103 cm. Café Terrace at Night
The painting CAFE TERRACE AT NIGHT or Café Terrace at the Place du Forum is considered Vincent van Gogh's first painting, and its background is very similar to the painting The Starry Night; this work was painted in 1888, and today, in addition to Van Gogh's top paintings, it is also considered one of his most interpreted paintings. One of the strangest interpretations that experts and artists point out is that perhaps this painting intends to show a different image of Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper!
Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear
Vincent was very interested in self-portraits, and this is one of the reasons for his fame; Van Gogh painted about 30 self-portraits or paintings of himself during his artistic life, only one of which, Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear, is famous among the artists of the world.
The story interpreted behind the scenes of this painting is that one day Vincent argued with Paul Gauguin and other famous people of his time, then decided to leave the place and cut off his left ear with a razor, then he gives his ear to a prostitute in a brothel and says:
"Protect this thing with your life."
An interesting point that can be seen in the self-portrait with a bandaged ear; Vincent bandaged his right ear instead of his left ear. According to the quotes that experts say, Vincent used a mirror to draw self-portraits on canvas, and that is why he bandaged his right ear.
The Potato Eaters
One of the great designs that Vincent drew in 1885 is The Potato Eaters THE POTATO EATERS. In this work, Van Gogh intended to show the lifestyle of the villagers, and to naturalize this, he used coarse and rough people as models for this work; he describes the models of this work as follows:
"With the same hands that they put in the dish, they dug the earth."
After The Potato Eaters, Vincent designed many works; but he did not consider any of them as his best works.
Bedroom in Arles
Bedroom in Arles is another of the famous paintings of Vincent, the Dutch painter, which was depicted in 1888 in the Post-Impressionism style; also, there are two other similar versions of this work that were designed in 1889. Also, the difference between these three versions is the paintings that are hanging on the right side of the picture; in those pictures, he drew pictures of his friends Eugene Boch and Paul-Eugene Milliet.
The name and title that Vincent considered for this work was "The Bedroom by Vincent" and he chose the word "Arles" from his subject; Vincent's subject in this work, also known as the Yellow House, is located in Place Lamartine in Arles, Bouches-du-Rhone, France.
